Pastel is a chalk media used for centuries. One of the properties of pastel is the ability of blending the colors which can achieve more colors as well as a soft edge for a more delicate look. Patricia has been using this media for many years, starting with sidewalk drawings as a young girl.
She has won many awards for her pastel portraits of animals, in 2008 at the Shasta County District Fair in the profressional division with a second place ribbon for her drawing of the "Wolf", in 2009 "Saw Whet Too!" received a second place and "Rocky" received third place, they are offered on this page. Other award winners "Who's your Mama?" and "Spring Bird" have also received recognition at juried shows.
These pastel drawings are available in Giclee archival prints on high quality acid free paper. Note cards are printed on quality acid free card stock.
